What We Do

With the amalgamation of local councils throughout Queensland in 1993, the Rosalie Shire Council was subsumed into the larger Toowoomba Regional Council. Rosalie residents were concerned that the local agricultural region and strategically established cluster of small townships were in danger of losing their unique identity. The Rosalie Shire Historical Society was a community-generated response to that concern.

Our Mission

The Rosalie Shire Historical Society is committed to preserving and maintaining the history of the former Rosalie Shire area and the collected memories of its residents.

Our Organisation

The Rosalie Shire Historical Society was incorporated as a not-for-profit association in 1997. Membership is achieved through an application to the Secretary or general committee and is subject to a payment of a $15 fee. An Annual General Meeting (AGM) of members is held once a year wherein all members are invited to attend.
